Public Relations

District 221's marketing team has one job: make sure people know what Toastmasters can do for them.

Guests walk in nervous about speaking and walk out as members, running meetings, mentoring newer members, and handling the conversations they once avoided. Better public speaking is the obvious benefit, but the confidence and leadership skills members build here follow them into work, volunteering, and everyday life. That's the story worth telling, and we're here to help you tell it.

As your club's Vice President Public Relations (VPPR), you tell it. You build awareness of your club and the Toastmasters brand, bringing guests through the door and keeping current members engaged. In practice, that means promoting meetings and events, keeping your communication channels up to date, and building relationships with local media and community groups. Do it well, and you'll do more than grow membership: you'll raise your club's profile and give people a reason to trust what Toastmasters stands for.
